If you want to fix your header, look in your blogger html template under Header, and add a line in the first section. It's (i think)
background: url(http://yourphoto.jpg);
If you want to fix anything stylistically (like font, colours and background) in your blog, go to another blog that has aspects that you like, then go to view in the toolbar, then source. compare your html template to that blogs template and you will where to make changes to personalize your blog. That's how I learned! (like going to someones blog that had a picture as a header background, and looked at how they did it in their template)
