I think Gerry Flannery's face as the Amhran was sung said it all.
I don't remember ever hearing our national anthem sang with such passion, emotion or meaning. It was incredible.
It was an outstanding victory for the Irish team today and one we can all remember for years to come with a smile on our faces. If only we could have beaten the French two weeks ago. Oh but for the bounce of a ball....
We should be proud of our lads, of the coach and of our country! Bring on the World Cup!
